Have questions about our transition to LAUSD.org? Read our list of the most frequently asked questions for more information.

Why is Los Angeles Unified transitioning to LAUSD.org from www.lausd.org for its website address?

To make it easier for our communities to navigate our website, we are transitioning all District office websites located on www.lausd.org to the shorter LAUSD.org web address.

For example, our Summer School website will automatically redirect from www.lausd.org/summerschool to LAUSD.org/summerschool.

What happens when I enter an old www.lausd.org web address?

You will automatically be directed to the appropriate LAUSD.org page. While the old www.lausd.org links will remain active, we encourage you to update your links and bookmarks with the new LAUSD.org address.

Is LAUSD.org case sensitive?

No. You may use LAUSD.org or lausd.org to access our new website address.

Does this transition to LAUSD.org impact emails from Los Angeles Unified?

No. Emails from Los Angeles Unified and Los Angeles Unified employees will continue to come from @lausd.net.

Why are some schools transitioning to LAUSD.org? Is my school impacted by this change?

School Loop, a provider of website management software for select Los Angeles Unified schools, has discontinued their service. For schools impacted by this change, Los Angeles Unified is providing migration services to a new service provider.

As part of this process, school websites that had operated on School Loop will now transition to LAUSD.org with a shorter, more memorable web address.

Not every school will immediately transition to LAUSD.org. If your school is making this transition to LAUSD.org, the change will occur automatically if you enter your school's prior web address. In addition, you may also check our school directory for the most up-to-date web address for your school.

If my school website is transitioning to LAUSD.org, what can I expect? Will everything be migrated?

School websites that are migrating to LAUSD.org will feature a new modern design that emphasizes ease-of-use and accessibility across desktop and mobile devices. For school communities, this means that information will be more easily accessible across different devices when you access your school’s new website.

In addition, participating schools will receive a shortened web address as part of this transition to LAUSD.org. For example, Cleveland Early Education Center’s web address will transition from clevelandecc-lausd-ca.schoolloop.com to clevelandeec.LAUSD.org. Families who try to access a school’s old website will automatically be redirected to their new web address within LAUSD.org.

Our schools are working closely with our Information Technology Services team to migrate important content over to our new website platform. Every effort will be made to ensure all core content will be available on their new website once the transition is complete.

Does this transition to LAUSD.org impact my student’s MyMail address? What happens to my student’s access to District services?

The migration to LAUSD.org does not impact your student’s MyMail address or their access to online District services. Your student should continue to use their @mymail.lausd.net address.

I need support accessing my school’s website. Whom can I contact?

Please get in touch with our Information Technology Services support team. Their help desk is available through phone, support ticket or online chat.
